We made it! Another year is here, and if you’re reading this, I imagine you’re curious to learn a little bit about us! To that end, Reverie has been an evolving concept for many years, the beginnings of which can be traced back to my love for music as a young lad in North Carolina. I was fortunate enough to have parents with refined music taste… and by refined, I mean refined rock, classic rock to be specific. I cut my teeth on the rippling riffs of Led Zeppelin, iconic sets by Queen, and the melodic harmonies of Fleetwood Mac. I’m so grateful for my roots. As I grew into my years of teenage angst I began gravitating towards slightly heavier, more rebellious releases (as we often do at that age)… Smashing Pumpkins, Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Metallica, and what would become my favorite band of all time, Rage Against the Machine. I identified so closely with their music; their message, their mission, and it still resonates with me today.
While my brother has the musical talent in the family (he’s a prodigious guitar player🤘), I always sought to have a part in the industry at-large. For many years I cultivated that desire through concert photography, a hobby that would provide me with a creative outlet that I never knew I needed. To every venue who ever let me bring my camera to a show. To every band who ever expressed excitement over a photo I took… you gave me so much validation on this path, and allowed me to feel like I was a part of the live music experience, however small that part may have been.
During those years of hopping from show to show with my camera, I unwittingly began my journey to meld two of my favorite passions: music and technology. I’m a software engineer by trade and have long felt there was an opportunity to help bands with their online presence. There are some amazing band websites out there, but there are also some that could use a little love. That’s where Reverie hopes to lend a hand. Not just with websites, but with branding in general; tour posters, album covers, logos, and more.
As I explored those opportunities, I was privileged to forge amazing friendships with venues and artists, giving way to the final piece of this collective in the form of booking and promotional services. It’s not until today that I’ve been able to codify all of these pieces into one organized agency, but it’s finally here, and will henceforth be known as Reverie Media.
Our team is comprised of wildly talented creatives with diverse backgrounds and a universal love for music. We’re excited to be part of this community and look forward to collaborating with everyone in this space – whether it’s supporting local artists, providing patronage to local venues, or giving fans more ways to connect with amazing music, we’re here for it all! See you at the next show!
